2021 NPC Figure Division Rules and Scoring
Information from NPC News Online and Angel Competition Bikinis

Your Suit
☑ Figure competitors must wear a two-piece suit with a V-shaped bottom like the Angel Competition Bikinis Figure Style.
☑ The official NPC rules do not state that your figure suit have a crisscross back. Angel Competition Bikinis make all figure suits with a crisscross back because of the popularity of the style at events. 99% of figure competitors wear a suit with a crisscross hook back.
☑ The suit bottom sits high up on the hips like the Angel Competition Bikinis Figure Style.
All styles of Angel Competition Bikinis Figure suits have been acceptable at NPC sponsored competitions. The NPC advises competitors to bring 2 suits to check-in in the event that one of your suits is not acceptable. If your suit is deemed unacceptable at check ins, you will be scored down. Because of our high quality connectors, and perfected fit, if you have an Angel Competition Bikini you do not need a back up. Our suits will NOT break. If you are ordering The Petite Cut, we strongly advise bringing a backup back cut. You may also wish to bring a back up if you would like to have a second color option on your show day. COVID Safety
☑ You most likely will be required to wear a face mask at all times.
☑ Depending on the show promoter, you may be allowed to take your mask off when you are on stage.
We are so grateful that shows have started again and completely support whatever decision the show promoter makes! Be prepared to be flexible in the coming months and know that the show promoters are doing whatever possible to get you on stage. Thank you show promoters!!

Crossovers
☑ No Crossovers are allowed at National events.
If you are competing on the national stage, you are not allowed to cross over into another division at the same event. If you wish to cross over at a regional level competition, you will need to contact the show promoter to gain approval.
Lizzie and Sam look stunning competing in both The Figure and The Bikini division. However, this not allowed at National NPC shows and may not be allowed at regional shows.
Memberships
☑ You must be a member of The NPC to compete.
The National Physique Committee is the premier amateur physique organization in the world. Since 1982, the top athletes in bodybuilding, fitness, figure, bikini and physique have started their careers in the NPC. Many of those athletes graduated to successful careers in the IFBB Professional League, a list that includes 24 Olympia and 38 Arnold Classic winners.

Comparison Round Rules
☑ All Wellness competitors in your class will be brought back on stage to be judged as a group.
You will be directed by the head judge to perform your front pose and back pose. You may be required to perform your front and back pose multiple times and hold your back pose for 10+ seconds. This should be considered when you are practicing your posing. It can be very difficult for an untrained athlete to hold their best back pose longer than 10 seconds.
NOTE: The NPC does not want to see the arm off to side with the elbow bent and the wrist bent upwards or downwards.

Scoring
☑ Figure competitors are judged on the following:
1. Balance and Shape. Small amount of muscularity with separation. There should be no visible striations for figure competitors. Big emphasis on balance and symmetry in the figure division.
2. Rounded delts, sweep to the quads, back depth, and width.
3. Overall physical package brought to the stage including skin tone, poise, complexion, and overall presentation.

☑ Figure Competitors should:
1. Display balanced shape with a well developed lats. Balance comes first in the figure division, we can't stress this enough!
