#Shreddingforthewedding... YES or NO??

Should you PREP or DIET for your wedding & honeymoon?! How you make this decision should include asking yourself (and maybe your coach) several key questions.
Why do you think you need to diet for your wedding? Is it because everybody else does it? Or did you buy a dress/tux too small that you now have to fit into?
What are your longer term goals? How does #shreddingforthewedding play a role in those goals?
Are you in a healthy or optimal place to start a diet?
Who cares? Literally—who?
Only you can answer these questions.

Things to Remember:
1️⃣ Be Realistic and remember what the wedding is really for—marriage. Ask yourself why you want to lose x amount of lbs and what it’s for. Of course you want to look good, but remember that it’s about more than that. And buy an outfit that FITS. It’s a sad day when you over/underestimate what size you will be on a specific date.
2️⃣Goals—are they to build muscle and grow? Then going into a fat loss phase is going to likely stall those. Think about your longer term goals and what’s more important—the goal or looking a little leaner in some pictures?

3️⃣ Did you just come off a diet? Are you going through hormonal or digestive issues? Are you mentally unstable in any ways? Do you have disordered eating habits? If your answer is yes to any of these then a diet may do you more harm than good. Dig deep for your answers.
4️⃣It’s your wedding—so you care, obviously, but [hopefully] your fiancé is marrying you for who you are, and doesn’t care if you look the same at your wedding as you do now. And nobody else does either—they’re there to celebrate your love and share the joy.

Full disclosure—I did a mini cut for my wedding. 8-9 weeks where I cut calories down enough for a deficit, and committed to being more consistent with tracking my food.
I didn’t go balls to the wall or do anything drastic. Because I DID have goals and also wanted to enjoy the journey. Because I cared more about our words and the moments exchanged on that day than how I’d look in my strapless gown or @angelbeachwear bikini. And because it’s a wedding, not a competition.
I apologise, but, in my opinion, you are not right. I suggest it to discuss.
It was and with me.
